No internet? No worries!
CONQA's mobile app has offline support. Check out the FAQs below for more information on how to make the most of the CONQA App, even when the internet isn't playing ball.
Firstly we recommend always using the latest version of the CONQA App, make sure you are up to date here: https://conqa.com/app#
Using CONQA offline
How do I install the app?
You can install the latest version of the CONQA app here: https://conqa.com/app#
Here is what the app icon will look like:
Do I need an internet connection to use the CONQA app?
You will need internet or mobile data to install and sync the app for the first time. You will then be able to use the app as usual when offline. You will still need to make sure you connect to the internet regularly to sync any changes you have made offline. Good practice would be to let the app sync via the internet in the evening.
What can I do/not do when offline?
What version of the app do I need to be on to have offline coverage?
The minimum version of the app to have offline is 2.0.0
You can check which version of the app you have installed by opening the hamburger menu (three lines) in the top left of the app screen. The sidebar that pops open will show you which version you have installed, and prompt you to update if there are any new updates available.
Making changes and completing QA
How can I add QA data?
You can add QA data offline exactly the same as when you are online. You can navigate through folders and checklists and add images, signatures and set checkpoint statuses.
Check out the table above for a full breakdown on what you can do when offline.
What does the grey check mean?
When online, you will see checklists with a grey check next to them. The grey check indicates which checklists are available offline.
Syncing changes to CONQA
What does the Sync icon mean?
This icon is the sync indicator. You can tap the icon to open up and view your pending changes. The number will also show you in real time how many pending changes you have.
What should I do when the number gets too high?
CONQA recommends connecting to the internet and syncing all changes on a daily basis. Once your pending changes hit 100 you will start getting alerts. If this happens please get online as soon as you can and let the app sync your changes.
Note - uninstalling the app will permanently delete any unsynced changes
Troubleshooting
Why can't I make any more changes?
Any changes will be stored on your phone until synced. Once your phone storage is at 100% you will be unable to add more changes to the sync queue.
I’ve connected to the internet but the number isn’t dropping, what do I do?
If it has been a few minutes and the number of changes to sync has not changed, you can try closing and reopening the app, and turning airplane mode on/off. If the number still isn't changing take a screenshot of the queue and send it to our support team at support@conqahq.com or via the Live Chat in app.
Note - uninstalling the app will permanently delete any unsynced changes
General queries
Can I access the account interface offline?
No, you will need to access this via a web browser on your laptop or PC.
Is it safe to close the app?
Yes, but this will prevent the queued changes from syncing. Instead, leave the app running in the background to allow changes to sync.
Should I uninstall the app?
Do not uninstall the app unless advised to by CONQA staff, or you are certain you have no unsynced changes. If you have any unsynced changes these will be permanently lost and will not be recoverable.
What happens if more than one person makes a change to a checkpoint when offline?
All changes are timestamped to when the action took place, and if more than one person has updated a checkpoint, the most recent change will supersede. Any other changes will still be recorded against the checkpoint data.
